Get to Know Entertainment Impresario, Karine Sho-Time Thornton as he expands his Entertainment empire with new Podcast

Webster's dictionary defines an Impresario as an entertainment mastermind who is known for organizing, financing, and producing spectacular films or television programs. Well, meet Karine “Sho-Time” Thornton. Sho-Time has made quite a name for himself in the last two decades by paving his own way in the entertainment world.

Karine “Sho-Time'' Thornton is not only a hip-hop artist, but an international brand which includes Sho-TimeTV, Sho-Time Battle Rap League, Sho-Time Models, and as of recently, Sho-Time Visual Magazine & Podcast. Talking about a busy man! As far as shaping the narrative, Sho-Time shows no signs of stopping as he still raps, M.C., and acts. He has scored starring roles in the media productions PPRESSED, Rodent the Urban Soap Opera, Perate, Chicken Waiting 4 Mr Wright, and A Teenage Story.

“It was all a dream”, states Sho-Time. Who would've thought the kid from the Bronx would create so many lanes for many. In 2013, Sho-Time launched the label TNMG Team NECSERE Music Group which serves as the home to not only himself, but several artists and battle rappers from the tri-state area. Sho-Time comes from a pedigree of go-getters that rarely exist in today’s society. From educating himself in high school where he pursued architecture and animation, to earning a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the College of New Rochelle, Sho-Time is ready to usher in a new frontier in entertainment.

Since, Sho-Time’s brand has gained recognition in Hollywood, and he has been featured in several syndicated radio shows. Sho-TimeTv features video clips along with blog articles and news snippets of the music industry. This company is known for helping artists gain popularity via online promotion and name branding. Sho-Time has become one of the most influential platforms in the music industry as it leverages information of the artists that appeal to the masses to make them popular.

As Mr. Thornton began to comprise his entertainment enterprise, he has been privileged to work on the OWN Network and several other websites. He interviewed the cast of the hit show The Have and Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor by Tyler Perry. Sho-TimeTv has also worked with websites such as Urltv, Vladtv, WorldStarHipHop.com, WhatsHotinHipHop.com. In 2023, Sho-Time introduced Sho-Time Visual Magazine & Podcast, a one-of-a-kind visual concept which combines a podcast interviewing the latest trends, fashion, and guests from the world of entertainment. Available exclusively on streaming networks such as Roku, FireTV, Apple TV, iOS, and Android, the live recorded show has become a hit in numerous markets. Validated: Sho-Time, you have made quite a name for yourself in the entertainment industry. What is your secret to longevity?

Sho-Time: The secret is to do what you love and believe in yourself even when the odds are against you, fight through the negativity and your success will be your reward!

Validated: Besides starring in film, and your Sho-Time Battle Rap League, what’s next?

Sho-Time: PPRESSED Battle Rap Movie Part 2 is in the works, also the new Sho-TimeTV Podcast! I have 2 records coming out with an artist by the name of Deana Fai.  Documentary and reality shows will be in my near future, also events both battle rap and media based.

Validated: What would you consider to be your ahh ha! Moment?  Have you ever been star-struck?

Sho-Time: I don’t think I’ve ever been star struck only because, I  always consider myself apart of the culture and kind of adapted this normalcy about interacting with celebrities and public figures, although there have been time I could not get my words put fast enough, for example the interview with John Schneider and Renee lawless I definitely stuttered it was Hilarious.

Validated: Tell me about the power of connections, and some of the major connections you have solidified in entertainment?

Sho-Time: Connections and relationships are everything I’ve connected with entrepreneurs, Celebrities and political leaders. These relationships have and will always open doors to my hard work and character, I don’t chase the bag I build relationships and that always keep me in mind for future opportunities.

Validated: You seem to always have a stallion of fly models, where do you see the model game going, and how are you empowering young models?

Sho-Time: I work with so many beautiful models and with the right opportunities, they will grow and be able to be proud and  reach what we already have. I think I’m open to working with more models, it just has to make sense. Once you establish respect for your craft and are willing to show up with your best foot forward we can accomplish so many things in entertainment.
