The state of Hip Hop and where it seems to be heading has a lot of fans worried. Many have noticed the passion for artistry has declined.

Mc's like @DAVIDJAMESMUZIK continue to exhibit it's very much alive and well. The Bronx rapper embodies and embraces being an Mc.

David is originally from the Soundview part of Bronx, NY. He showed an interest in music at an early age and instinctively felt it was something he wanted to do. In a city full of aspiring artists it would be the reactions to his raps that would confirm his path, and would serve as motivation to pursue seriously. Listing Mc's like Jay Z, 50 Cent, Eminem as influencers reflects in his skill set.

While being an Mc is important to him he's still able to make digestible music to reach the casual listeners without watering it down too much. He contributes that to actually being a fan of Hip Hop. He States, "I like to use things I’ve learned along the way from the greats before me. I try to put pride & ego aside and just make the best music possible".

He's currently promoting his new single “Nothing Low” produced by Terch, a producer from London. His next upcoming project will be fully produced by Mc/Producer Passport Rav, another talented artist. I discovered David Jame$ hearing his song "SYLVIAS DELI" which had the NY sound and feel.

When speaking about the importance of having that NY sound David states, "It’s not as important as making great music people can relate to. I like to sound like where I’m from because I feel the music industry lacks that at this very moment. An authentic, conscious, inner city voice to bridge social gaps in New York City and places similar to it".
